Weekly Scripture Reflections

Sabbath - Rest & Reflection - some things are written in pencil, some in ink and a few in blood …

Seven scripture passages that spoke to me this week;

Romans 7: 24 - 8: 1, “Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus”

Romans 8: 16-17, “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs - heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ.” (still working on the ‘heirs’ pronunciation)

Romans 12: 1-2, “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Philippians 1: 6, “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

2 Corinthians 8: 9, “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich yet for our sake He became poor, so that you by His poverty might become rich.”

Matthew 5: 3, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Ephesians 2: 4-5,”But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in sin - it is by grace you have been saved.”
